The wealth report gave a picture of how wealth has increased for Canadians over the past 18 years. Wealth per adult in the country multiplied at an average rate of 5.4 percent, even with a small dive during the global financial crisis in 2008-2009. The average wealth per adult in 2018 was $288,260, nearly 30 percent lower than in the United States.
